Andrew can act as an Independent Non Executive Director (INED) for both investors and portfolio investee companies.
Andrew is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD) and able to play a number of the roles identified by the HKIoD for INEDs, namely the Wise Man, Specialist, Judge and Watchdog roles. He is a Fellow of both the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), having worked for KPMG then PWC in London, Hong Kong and Sydney so is particularly suited to audit committees.
He is registered with the IFC’s Nominee Director database for appointment to the boards of its project companies.
Whilst at WestLB, Andrew sat on the board of Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (now BOC Aviation Limited) as an Alternate Director. Fellow shareholders were Singapore Airlines and the Singapore government’s investment vehicles, GIC and Temasek. Managing relations with fellow shareholders is, of course, crucial to any joint enterprise.
As an independent advisor, he offers complete impartiality when sitting on such boards.
